Merry Christmas, Mr. Preston
Conservative MP Joe Preston, who won my riding in ‘04, has sent me a lovely “Happy Holidays!”/”Re-elect Joe Preston” card.
I’m not going to break balls and mock a Conservative for sending out a Happy Holidays card. A “Why does Joe Preston hate Christmas?” post would be fun to write and all. But it’d make me a pretty big asshole.
I’d say it’s politically in his best interest to send out the Happy Holidays cards since there is a sizeable Muslim population in my riding.
To Joe: I would guess that you and your family celebrate Christmas. And as such, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
I wonder what other ridings where Conservatives were elected are receiving. Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.

I’ll check back with you on what little Petey Poilievre sends out - probabaly one drawn with crayon and with the ’s’ backward…but I’ll let you know what it says…

Yeah, I got a Joe Fontana calendar. Wasn’t even in colour. Conservative cheapass. So much for my vote going his way.
Next time, Joe, spend the money and send gifts that are printed in colour. Those of us on your junk mail list might actually stop and look at longer than two seconds, and may elect to actually use the thing, also.
